No more than two adults can visit an inmate at one time under normal circumstances. Visits could be interrupted at any time in case of an emergency.

Visits outside normal visitation hours and for an extended time for persons who have traveled long distances may be requested in advance. Inmates can send an Inmate Request Form to the Detention Shift Supervisor, or visitors can call 940-349-1700 and ask to speak to the jail administratorís office.

Attorneys and other official visitors may visit at any time. Inmates may refuse to see any visitor. A visitor may visit an unlimited number of times on the visitation day and times designated, but may visit only once with the same inmate.

Under usual circumstances the only contact visits allowed are attorney visits, which are limited to the booths that allows the passing of documents. NO PHYSICAL CONTACT IS ALLOWED!

All visitors, 17 years of age and older, must present a valid photo identification to the Visitation Officer. Examples are driver's license, state-issued identification card, passport, or military identification. Any other identification must be approved by the Jail Shift Supervisor. A photo identification is required.

All visitors are required to give their full name, date of birth, and address prior to visiting an inmate.

Persons under 17 years of age are not allowed to visit inmates unless accompanied by an adult.

Inmate visits are limited to two 20 minutes visits per day.

No personal items, food items or containers will be allowed beyond the entrance hallway. Lockers are provided in some locations.

Visitors are required to pass through a metal detector and may be subject to physical searches.

Visitors cannot give any items directly to inmates.

Visitorsí clothing will be conservative in nature.

There are six visitation locations at the present time (see map). Please visit the appropriate jail page for additional information. If the inmate location is not known, contact the Front Desk in person or call (940) 349-1700.
